The Tryon Technology Park is an exciting new frontier for economic development in Fulton County. The 515-acre wooded park was entrusted to the Fulton County Industrial Development Agency with a mandate to oversee the redevelopment of the property to create industrial and commercial jobs and promote new investment in the Mohawk Valley. It contains 240+/- acres of shovel-ready sites between Exits 27 and 28 of I-90, centrally located between GlobalFoundries to the east, Nano Utica to the west, and the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering to the south.

Tryon, which spans the Towns of Perth and Johnstown, is one of eleven New York State facilities shut down as a part of NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s plan to consolidate state government services. The IDA has been provided with a first-round $2 million Empire State Development grant to rebuild the internal access road and replace water and sewer infrastructure.
There are currently eight shovel-ready sites on the Tryon property ranging from 16 to 70 acres, and four more future development sites ranging from 27 to 62 acres.
The Regional Business Training is a complex of interconnected buildings containing a variety of functional spaces to meet the needs of businesses. With large garage bays with overhead doors, offices and various-sized classrooms that could serve as educational spaces, this complex is versatile and flexible.
Fully serviced with hot water heat, central air-conditioning and ventilation, the Regional Business Training Center’s climate-controlled conditions make it usable year round. Beautiful terrazzo floors connect all spaces in the building. The Regional Business and Training Center also features an Olympic-size swimming pool, full-size gymnasium and a 255-seat auditorium that can be made available to businesses.
